Thomas's Story
Military
I joined the USAF in October 1959. I was 18 years and 6 days old. I went to basic training at Lackland AFB Texas. Then I was sent to Kincheloe AFB Michigan where I learned about life where they have a thing they call "winter".
After that I was sent to 6th Allied Tactical Air Force Headquarters in Izmir, Turkey. I spent the Cuban Missile Crisis sending encrypted messages 12 hours a day...and that is how I saved the world. :)

ed in 1963 I attended Harbor College and Cal State Northridge and graduated in 1968. I taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 33 years, and retired in 2003. After retirement I earned an M.A. at Biola University. I taught World Religions and Science at Hope International University for 7 years.
I married Caryl Mace of Upland in 1965. We have 4 grown children and 6 grand children. We are involved in our church, the grandkids and travelling.
